Xiaomi is actively working on expanding its presence in the foldable phone market. The Chinese brand has reportedly been focusing on the Mix Flip 2 for some time. Recent developments have revealed some key details about the upcoming model.
What Will the Xiaomi Mix Flip 2 Offer?
Renowned industry insider Digital Chat Station has shared new details about the soon-to-be-released Xiaomi Mix Flip 2. According to the leak, the device will be the first Flip model to feature the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset. Additionally, it will offer water resistance with an IPX8 certification.
The foldable phone is expected to house a 5,100 mAh battery, a notable upgrade from its predecessor. Furthermore, it will support 50W wireless charging, which was absent in the previous model. In the camera department, the device will feature a 50 MP (1/1.5″) main sensor and a 50 MP (1/2.76″) ultra-wide-angle sensor. However, this means that the telephoto sensor present in the previous model will not be included.
Additionally, the Mix Flip 2 will feature a 6.85-inch LTPO AMOLED main display with a 1.5K resolution. While not confirmed yet, it is expected to have a cover display measuring around 4 inches.
According to reliable sources, the upcoming model is set to be introduced between April and June. However, since this is currently just a rumor, it would be best to wait for an official announcement from Xiaomi.
